On September 11th, 2022, the Ohio Extemp Initiative expanded its mission. 

We made our first charitable contribution to an organization that shares our mission: improving accessibility to the human right of communication. The Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center, the nation's oldest hearing and speech center, was a no-brainer when deciding which organization to target for this donation. Although in different ways, both OEI and the CHSC focus on helping expanding access to communication.

We had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Jennell Vick, the organization's Executive Director, who was kind enough to take time out of her busy Sunday to talk with us and show us around the facility.

At OEI, we try to "Provide every speaker with a voice." This donation is simply a continuation of those efforts! We hope we can support our shared mission of connecting people through communication.
