Mission

By eliminating the exorbitant cost of many speech camps, OEI aims to equitably bring young middle and high school Extemporaneous Speaking competitors to the next level of competition. By covering complex topics, substructure, and delivery techniques, we strive to make speakers the best they can be.

Structure

Lectures

Each day will include multiple content lessons covering areas of domestic and foreign affairs to give students a better understanding of potential speech topics.

Drills

Delivery is just as important as content, and students will participate in interactive drills to hone their public speaking abilities.

Rounds

The final two days of the camp will be dedicated to simulating a real tournament, allowing students to showcase the skills they developed and earn in-round experience.
